LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) -- Temperatures across Mid-Michigan today will fall close to average for this time of year. We started the day with temperatures in the mid-to-low-60s and will warm up to a high of 84 degrees this afternoon.

We will continue to warm as we move into the upcoming weekend, with humidity increasing across the region as well.

In addition to the mild temperatures in the forecast for our Wednesday, we will also add in the chance for a few isolated showers and thunderstorms this afternoon and evening.

While severe weather is not expected, any storms that form will have the potential to produce strong wind gusts around 40-45 miles per hour.

We will dry things out throughout the remainder of the week, with temperatures climbing into the low 90s for the upcoming weekend. The
