NELSON COUNTY, Ky. (WAVE) - The first of three men convicted in connection with the disappearance and death of Crystal Rogers is set to be sentenced Wednesday.

Steven Lawson was found guilty of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence on May 30. Police say Steven and his son Joseph assisted Rogers’ then boyfriend, Brooks Houck, in moving her vehicle from the Houck family farm in Nelson County.

Rogers disappeared following a date night with Houck on July 4th weekend in 2015. Her car was found abandoned on the side of the Bluegrass Parkway.

Her remains have never been found.

Brooks Houck and Joseph Lawson, who were found guilty at trial last month, will be sentenced later this month.
