ALTON, Ill. (First Alert 4) - A man who was convicted of firing shots at two homes in Alton has been sentenced to prison.
Rondell L. Sanders, 30, was sentenced to 14 years in prison after previously being found guilty by a Madison County jury on two counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and one count of obstructing justice.
Prosecutors said Sanders had been in a feud with someone living on Belle Street and that home and another were hit by gunfire on May 22, 2024. No injuries were reported, but some of the bullets nearly hit a 3-year-old who was watching television and getting ready for bed.
