JEFFERSON CITY — An Iowa man is accused of trying to exploit children in Missouri.

The Western District of Missouri says Alex Mills Zoll, 42, is charged in a federal indictment with three counts related to child exploitation offenses.

The indictment alleges that between May 11 and June 1, 2025, Zoll enticed a minor to engage in sexual activity, attempted to produce child pornography, and transferred obscene material in interstate commerce.

The case was investigated by authorities in Boone and Callaway counties and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
