SHREVEPORT, La. (KSLA) - It’s a typical August pattern across the ArkLaTex over the next week with plenty of heat and not much hope for rain.

For tonight, we’ll see a clear sky and temperatures falling into the mid 70s.

More of the same for Thursday and Friday with sunshine and hot temperatures. Highs will continue to be in the upper 90s with a few spots pushing 100, especially on Friday. Feels like temperatures will be in the 100 to 105 range both days.

Looking ahead, this pattern will be stuck here for awhile with more hot and dry days likely through the weekend and even into next week.

We are also keeping a close eye on the tropics as conditions could become more favorable for development heading into mid-August!

Have a great night!
