KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Board of Trustees of Bishop Miege High School announced Phil Baniewicz has been fired as president of the school following allegations of inappropriate behavior with a minor.
The board said the process of selecting a new president will begin soon.
Back in June, the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas announced Baniewicz was restricted from all active ministry due to the allegations.
The Archdiocese said he is no longer allowed to represent the Church in any official, volunteer, ministerial or leadership role.
Baniewicz has been prohibited from engaging in youth ministry and volunteer work in any Catholic parish, school, institution or event in the Archdiocese of Kansas City in Kansas.
