AMHERST, MA (WGGB/WSHM) - The Amherst-Pelham Regional School District has filed a complaint to reverse efforts made to reinstate a middle school guidance counselor fired for allegedly misgendering students.

Just a few weeks ago, Delinda Dykes was reinstated to her position after she was let go back following a Title IX investigation back in 2023.

A regional school committee chair member sharing a statement this evening regarding this situation that reads, “The Regional School Committee remains deeply committed to creating a safe, supportive, and equitable learning environment for all children. This decision reflects that commitment and our duty to uphold the values of our school communities.”
