PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Decreasing clouds and more afternoon sunshine around the Portland/Vancouver area on Thursday will start the latest warming trend this week.
Early morning clouds and a lingering raindrop or two are still possible through the late morning hours on Thursday. Afternoon sunshine will help temperatures warm into the mid-70s throughout the northern Willamette Valley.
No real additional rain accumulation is expected on Thursday as drying takes place. A ridge of high pressure is quickly building over the Pacific Ocean later this week. High pressure will help pull warmer and even hotter air back into the Pacific Northwest by the end of the weekend.
