Scattered rain and thunderstorms are possible in Michigan mainly in southeastern northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula late on Thursday, Aug. 7, mixed with hot conditions.

" Isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible this afternoon and evening. While severe weather is not expected, any stronger storms may be capable of producing small hail and gusty winds," the National Weather Service said.

Thunderstorms are possible in Michigan's Thumb, northern areas and central to east areas in the Upper Peninsula.
