CUMBERLAND – Cumberland native Cole Williams is looking to put his town and Rhode Island on the map as a top contestant in Colossal’s Youth Athlete of the Year 2025 competition.

In cooperation with 3BRAND and Sports Illustrated , the award is a fundraising campaign for DTCare, a U.S. charity.

The fundraiser will grant donation funds to the V Foundation for Cancer Research and Why Not You Foundation at the completion of the competition, according to the company’s website.

The competition seeks to highlight an exceptional young athlete between the ages of 7 and 17 representing greatness, fierce competition, and commitment in sports.

The winner will receive $25,000 and be featured in a 3BRAND ad in Sports Illustrated .
