An aspiring Russian mommy blogger who attempted the viral Nicki Minaj challenge said she fractured her spine after tumbling backward to the kitchen floor.

Mariana Barutkina shared a video on Instagram on July 31 of her trying the challenge and wrote in Russian that she suffered a "compression-flexion fracture" of her T9 vertebra from the fall, according to a translation completed by NBC News. The video has since received nearly 1 million views.

The challenge was inspired by Minaj's pose in the rapper's 2013 video for the song “High School” featuring Lil Wayne. Minaj stands next to a pool, crouched to the ground in stiletto heels with one leg crossed over the other and her back perfectly straight.
