MUSKEGON, Mich. (WOOD) — On Aug. 9, families and visitors to the Muskegon lakeshore can attend the annual Great Lakes Surf Festival, a community event that brings in surfing and paddle board enthusiasts from all over the state.

"We have had growth every year," Joe Bidawid, co-founder of the Great Lakes Surf Festival, said. "We're proud to be one of the largest surf festivals in the world."
