YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) - Mahoning County Commissioners are growing frustrated with what they see as a lack of action to address the issue of tax reform across the state, as citizen groups continue collecting signatures to place a statewide referendum on the ballot to abolish property taxes.

Mahoning County commissioners think state lawmakers are sitting on their hands.

"I don't know why anyone is not at the table now figuring out what we're going to do, and I'm a little bit upset," said Mahoning County Commissioner Geno DiFabio.

While DiFabio has not signed any petitions yet, he understands the frustration people are feeling.

"We're ready. There are people ready to have a Boston Tea Party. The last time taxes got this out of control, a great new country was born from it," DiFabio said
