JACKSON, Ky. (WYMT) - On Thursday, crews began their second day of searching for Jayden Spicer, a missing ten-year-old boy in Breathitt County.

Search and rescue squads along with first responders searched for Spicer by foot with K-9’s, helicopters, drones and sonar equipment.

“We have a lot of different tools in place and we’re going to continue to search until our resources are exhausted,” said Trooper Matt Gayheart, public information officer at KSP Post 13.

Troopers said as of Thursday, it was an open investigation and they will consider every possibility.

“So as of right now, this investigation does not meet qualifications for any type of alerts. It doesn’t meet for an Amber Alert or an Ian Alert at this time. Without documented mental disabilities, it wouldn’t qualify,” Trooper G
