CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) -A Charlotte middle school football coach is out on bond Thursday night after being accused of indecent liberties with a student.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools said on Thursday, Aug. 7 that 22-year-old Shymere Simms was suspended with pay and will no longer be working at any school in the district effective immediately pending the results of an investigation.

According to an affidavit, Simms had forced a 13-year-old boys hand down his pants.

The affidavit said around 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1 that Simms sent the boy a Snapchat that said “I’m in your hood.”
