GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - Robocalls can be a bother to many residents, but those calls may be one step closer to stopping with a new effort led by Attorney General Jeff Jackson and other leaders nationwide.
On Thursday, Attorney General Jackson announced the launch of robocall crack down efforts in North Carolina.
The Attorney General says he will be a part of taking three separate enforcement actions which include notice letters that will warn 37 voice providers, while working with the federal communications commission and taking legal action with the courts.
He says, they are giving robocall providers three weeks from Thursday to follow the rules.
