KALAMAZOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WOOD) — A boil water advisory will go into effect Tuesday in Kalamazoo Township as crews make water infrastructure repairs.

The work is scheduled for 8 a.m. Tuesday, at which time the water will be shut off, the city of Kalamazoo announced in a release. This will lead to a temporary drop in pressure, prompting officials to issue a precautionary boil water advisory.

It will be in effect on both sides of Humphrey Street from Hazard Avenue to E. Main Street; on both sides of Seemore Avenue from Humphrey Street to the dead end; and on both sides of Wayside Road from Humphrey Street to the dead end.

Everyone in the affected area should boil their water for two minutes before consuming it. It's safe to bathe in the water without boiling it.
