YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) -- Reports said several shots were fired early Thursday evening at a car that had just picked up a child from football practice.
Officers were called about 7:30 p.m. to Williamson Avenue and Erie Street, where the adults said they had just picked up a 9-year-old child from football practice on the East Side and were driving on Himrod Avenue to get on the expressway when someone inside a grey SUV that had four men inside began firing on their car.
Besides the boy being picked up from football practice, two other children, ages 6 and 3, were in the back seat and had to duck down to avoid gunfire, reports said.
No one was injured.
Reports said police found four bullet holes in the car. Officers checked the area on Himrod Avenue but could find no shell casings, repo
