MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Eight-year-old Bailey got a surprise that soared above the rest Tuesday at TPC Southwind: her name on a FedEx airplane. As part of the 13th annual Purple Eagle ceremony, FedEx and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital honored Bailey, a St. Jude patient living with sickle cell disease. The event, held during festivities for the FedEx St. Jude Championship, recognizes one patient each year who is also connected to a FedEx employee. This year, that connection is Bailey’s grandmother, Grenda Poole, a longtime security officer at FedEx. "It is indescribable," Poole said.
