ASHEBORO, N.C. —

The Asheville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding two people who are both wanted for open warrants for shoplifting and other charges.

Asheville police announced they are looking for Brannan Stephen Nitchman, 33.

Nitchman currently has five open warrants for shoplifting from South Asheville retail businesses, including two open warrants for felony larceny, police say.

Nitchman has been arrested 28 previous times on 64 warrants, dating back to 2008.

Police say the most recent arrest was on July 30.

Nitchman's previous charges include:

Felony common law robbery

Larceny after breaking and entering

Second-degree trespass

Felony obtain property false pretense
