KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — The Knox County Trustee’s Office employee, who was fired amid an investigation by the Tennessee Comptroller of the Treasury, has been indicted on two counts of official misconduct.
Jason Dobbins was indicted on two counts of official misconduct on August 6. The indictment alleges that between July 2024 and March 2025, he knowingly received a benefit he was not authorized to receive by law. His indictment comes as a grand jury declined to indict Knox County Trustee Justin Biggs.
Dobbins was terminated from his position as operations director on April 14 because of policy violations. The notice did not go into detail about how policy was violated. He began working at the office in September 2022.
