MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) - U.S. Marshals made dozens of arrests during a recent operation aimed at reducing gang violence.

Operation Memphis Streets was a two-week operation that led to 141 arrests, including 14 for homicide, and the clearing of 163 arrest warrants in Memphis.

Marshals deployed six teams of law enforcement officials targeting gang members and others with violent felony arrest warrants between July 14 and July 25.

Of the arrests, 31 were known or suspected gang members, according to U.S. Marshals.
