SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (KY3) -A Springfield man is facing multiple charges after prompting a nearly four-hour-long standoff with police.
According to court records, Springfield Police officers responded to a report of a male who had fired a weapon toward a female while walking in the 2100 block of E. Walnut Street around 6 a.m. Wednesday morning.
The caller directed officers to the home after following Malaki Fain-Shaw, born in 2007, and a female victim. The caller was watching them both go inside, according to the probable cause statement.
One witness said Fain-Shaw was seen walking toward South Barnes with the victim. They allegedly saw Fain-Shaw stuffing a rifle underneath his hoodie, court records state.
Upon executing a search warrant of Fain-Shaw’s home, police said they found two fi
