Rob Edwards is hoping to give Middlesbrough fans a team they can be proud of this season, after meeting many supporters in recent weeks to get a feel for their expectations.
Edwards will officially take charge of Boro for the first time on Saturday when he leads them against Swansea City in the first game of the new season. While the new head coach has admitted that Boro aren’t exactly where they need to be - both in terms of preparation as well as recruitment work - he’s still happy by the progress made so far.
It follows his arrival this summer, replacing Michael Carrick after a disappointing tenth place finish last term. He’s spent the summer trying to implement changes to the teams tactical style and is hoping to see more positives against the Swans at the Riverside in the Champ
