WYOMING, MI - A 14-year-old was injured in an accidental shooting Friday night, according to the Wyoming Police Department.

Officers responded at 10:20 p.m. to reports of a shooting in the 4000 block of Heron Avenue SW.

The teen victim was taken to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The adult suspect is cooperating with investigators.

Police said the preliminary investigation indicated this was an isolated and accidental incident.

Detectives from the Wyoming Police Department, along with members of the Forensic Science Unit, are investigating the circumstances surrounding this incident.
