Chain guards can help protect against wildfires

Interstate Batteries of Arizona has partnered with Operation Spark Arrest to host a pick-up location for free trailer chain guards at their center in Peoria.

The guards help protect from trailer sparks, a significant cause of wildfires, and can be picked up at Interstate All Battery Center of Peoria, 8582 N. 91st Ave.

“I saw Lynn Preble from Operation Spark Arrest on television seeking pick-up locations for her novel solution to reducing wildfires, and since Interstate Battery Center locations see a lot of customers with trailers, it seemed a perfect cause to ‘hitch our wagon to’,” said Angie Fishman, operations manager for Interstate Batteries of Arizona. “We were inspired by her personally making these fire hose spark guards and wanted t
