LOUISVILLE, Ky. — More than a month after a man fled a traffic stop in the Russell neighborhood, leaving his four-month-old baby inside the vehicle, Metro Police say they have made an arrest.
Christopher Morris, 42, charges include flagrant non-support, harassment with physical contact, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and a probation violation.
Police encountered Morris on July 2 when attempting a traffic stop.
Police said it was a “simple traffic violation” but Morris fled, abandoning his car with his baby inside at the Village West housing complex.
The child was unhurt and was given to a relative.
Morris was arrested Saturday after a five-week game of “cat and mouse,” according to LMPD.
“Officers found Morris hiding…in a closet – yes, a closet,” LMPD said in a Facebook
