NEWBERG TOWNSHIP, MI - A two-vehicle crash on Friday, Aug. 8, sent a woman to the hospital, according to the Cass County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded to the crash at approximately 8:45 p.m. east of the intersection of M-60 and Woodlake Road in Newberg Township.

The investigation showed that Nora Gill, 44, of Chicago, IL, was driving eastbound on M-60. Logan King, 19, of Plainwell, Mich., was driving westbound on M-60 when he crashed into Gill’s vehicle while turning into the eastbound lane.

King failed to yield to oncoming traffic. Gill was then transported by Newberg Township EMS to Three Rivers Hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.

Assisting agencies were the Newberg Township Fire Department and Newberg Township EMS.
