FORD COUNTY ( WAND and 25News Now ) - Illinois State Police are looking for a 70-year-old Gibson City man accused of shooting two Central Illinois police officers early Saturday morning.

Authorities said a Gibson City Police officer and a Ford County Sheriff’s deputy were hit by gunfire after responding about 2:30 a.m. to a report of a man, identified as David D. Jordan, walking naked in the 100 block of Ash Street in Gibson City.

Shortly after the shooting, Jordan’s house caught fire, according to State Police.

Authorities said the police officer and deputy were taken to local hospitals for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
