PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) - Two people are facing charges after a traffic stop in northeast Portland last week led police to find “dealer quantities” of fentanyl and meth, according to the Portland Police Bureau on Saturday.
On Aug. 3 at 11 a.m., officers responded to the report of a suspicious Jeep with no license plates near Northeast Sunderland Avenue and Northeast 33rd Drive. Two people were inside, police said.
Officers found the Jeep and put down “stop sticks” around the tires in case the driver tried to drive away, PPB said.
When the driver noticed police, he allegedly first tried to drive the Jeep into a police officer and then sped away. However, the “stop sticks” deflated the tires and they didn’t make it far.
