Owasco N.Y. The 47th Great Race on the northern end of Owasco Lake. Auburn’s annual tradition of nearly hundred registered teams of 2, 3, or 4 person teams begin with a runner (4 miles) relays a team wrist band to a biker (12.4 miles) who then hands it off to their kayaker or canoeists, or paddleboarder (2.5 miles).

Some athletes actually competed in all three events as a solo athlete. 31

Competitors of all ages ran or paddled in temperatures that started in the mid seventies with cool breezes.
