RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Reno Police are looking for a suspect in a Saturday, Aug. 9, stabbing at John Champion Park that left a man dead a short time later, according to an agency news release.

The incident happened around 10:50 p.m. at 957 Kuenzli Street in Reno.

When officers responded to a medical emergency, they found a stabbing victim and immediately began providing life saving measures until REMSA arrived.

REMSA transported the man to a local hospital where he died a short time later.

The Robbery Homicide Unit is handling the investigation.

After proper notifications have been made, the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office will release the decedent’s name.
