Her GP advised that if she had consumed the blackberries, her airways could have potentially closed

A woman has spoken out about the excruciating pain she experienced after coming into contact with a plant while picking blackberries. Sue Harris, from Swansea, was left with arm-length blisters and has been advised by her GP to keep her arm covered in sunlight for the next four months.

She's also been told to increase her sun protection for the next five years to prevent the blisters and rash from reoccurring.

The 55-year-old was gathering blackberries in Mayals, Swansea, when she touched Hogweed, a plant known for its long-lasting effects on those who come into contact with it.
