Four people have been seriously injured in a road accident at Nsiriza Junction, near police houses, along Kaunda Road in Lilongwe.

Lingadzi Police Station Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Maria Kumwenda, confirmed the incident, stating that all the injured were rushed to Kamuzu Central Hospital for examination and treatment.

The crash happened in the early hours of August 11, 2025, around 00:10 hours. It involved a Nissan Patrol (registration SA 5540), driven by Wyson Chiwoko, 30, of Matope Village in Chiradzulu, and a Nissan Caravan Minibus (registration BZ 21226) whose driver fled the scene after the collision.
