ELKHORN, Neb. (WOWT) - Patience is wearing thin for some Omaha residents trying to drop off tree debris after Saturday morning’s powerful windstorms.
“Man, I’m just having to use every bit of restraint that I have to not get out in line and ask these people what makes them more special than everybody else waiting in line,” said Jesse Neese, who was dropping off branches at the site.
The city opened one drop-off location for storm debris at Ta-Ha-Zouka Park in downtown Elkhorn. But with only a single site available, cars have been idling in long, slow-moving lines.
“We really need a second one,” said Travis Ramich, an Omaha resident.
Residents told First Alert 6 they waited in line for more than two hours from start to finish. Some complained about drivers cutting in line.
