LANSING, Mich. (WILX) - Low-income seniors are eligible to receive free produce and honey at the South Lansing Farmers Market on Thursday, August 14, through the Senior Project Fresh (SPF) program.
The South Lansing Community Development Association (SLCDA) and the Tri-County Office on Aging (TCOA) are partnering to help eligible seniors access SPF benefits.
Eligibility Requirements:
Michigan residents aged 60 and older (or 55 if a member of a federally recognized tribe)
Annual income at or below:
$28,952.50 for a 1-person household
$39,127.50 for a 2-person household
Staff from TCOA will be at the South Lansing Farmers Market to help seniors sign up on their smartphones or a computer.
