SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The first day of school for many in the Ozarks is next week, and some students are already preparing what they will wear.

Glendale Juniors Liana Gray and Kendall Snider have put some thought into their first day of school outfits. Liana will be following tradition, and Kendall has a couple of ideas she is still deciding between.

"I'm a varsity cheerleader," said Liana Gray. "So we always wear uniforms to school on the first day. So that's all I'll be wearing."

"Either jeans or a jean skirt," Kendall Snider said. "And like, a sweater or like a long sleeve or short sleeve kind of top."

Liana and Kendall say they like putting their own twist on outfits that are comfortable, casual and practical for the school day.
