OMAHA, Neb. —

The owner of an Omaha convenience store accused of selling illegal drugs avoids prison time.

A judge gave Yaser Shohatee 24 months of probation. He pleaded no contest earlier this year to attempted possession with intent to distribute.

Police conducted a search warrant last year at his Goodies Convenience Store near 90th and Maple. Officers said they found illegal THC, fentanyl pills, mushroom bars and two guns.

Authorities said Shohatee admitted to knowingly selling the items at his store.
