EastEnders star Balvinder Sopal has revealed her BBC soap future after joining Strictly Come Dancing 2025.

The first wave of Strictly announcements for its upcoming season began on Monday (August 11), with Gladiators star Harry Aikines-Aryeetey the first contestant announced.

Fans of the BBC dancing competition, which was won by blind comedian Chris McCausland last year, tuned in to The One Show later that evening as three more participants were revealed.

After teasing fans with clues throughout the episode, Roman Kemp and Alex Scott confirmed that former Love Island winner Dani Dyer, Doctor Who’s Alex Kingston and Chelsea legend Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink are all preparing to learn the art of dance.
