GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. —

A Greenville County man has been sentenced to 28 years in prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges stemming from a string of disturbing home invasions involving children in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

According to 13th Circuit Solicitor's Office, Kenneth Wayne Battles III, 21, pled guilty on Aug. 11 to the following charges:

Kidnapping

First-degree assault and battery

Two counts of first-degree burglary

Two counts of indecent exposure.

A judge sentenced Battles to 28 years in the South Carolina Department of Corrections.

Evidence presented during the plea hearing revealed that in April 2024, Battles broke into multiple homes in a Simpsonville neighborhood during the early morning hours of April 2 and 3.
