KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WVLT) - Scattered showers or storm in spots this evening into the overnight. Lows will be in the low 70s. Winds will be southwest at 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY: More isolated shower or storms are possible, especially on the Cumberland Plateau. It will be hit or miss here in Knox county and most of the valley. Any storms will contain heavy rain. Otherwise, mostly cloudy and muggy with highs in the low to mid 80s. Winds southwest at 5-10 mph.

LATE WEEK: It looks partly cloudy, hot and humid Thursday and Friday with highs back in the upper 80s to near 90. A stray afternoon storm can’t be ruled out. Lows at night will be around 70.
