COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Lanett police are investigating an armed robbery that happened at the Chevron on 101 North Gilmer Avenue Monday night.

According to authorities, the robbery occurred around 9:23 p.m. on Aug. 11. Police say a man entered the store, showed a firearm and demanded cash from the register.

After receiving the money, he left the store on foot. No shots were fired and no one was injured.

The suspect was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt with an unknown emblem on the right chest, blue skinny jeans, black socks, black sandals, a black face covering and a red University of Georgia cap.
