URBANDALE, Iowa (KCRG) - Several members of the Iowa Board of Regents are asking to change certain aspects of their new DEI policy .

It comes after three different videos surfaced in the past few weeks showing employees at state universities discussing circumventing a new state law.

During a special meeting on Tuesday, board members discussed one proposed revision addressing all perspectives on “controversial” subjects and how they’re taught. One board member with the University of Iowa said this policy is an “improvement” by taking out references to anything specific.
