A Waynesboro man turned himself in and was charged Thursday in connection with a weekend road rage shooting.
Tyleik Cabell, 23, was charged with maliciously shooting at an occupied vehicle, a felony offense. He was released on a $5,000 unsecured bond.
The charge against Cabell stems from a Sunday shooting at the Moonshine Market at 1001 E. Market St. Police responded at 3:29 p.m. and found a 16-year-old boy with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound. The wounded teenager was taken to the University of Virginia Medical Center in nearby Charlottesville.
Police said the shooting was traced to an earlier road rage altercation in the 700 block of North Commerce Avenue.
