HONOLULU (Island News) -- Officials expect to remove Atlantis Adventures' boat that ran aground over the weekend outside of Kewalo Basin Harbor early next week.

The Discovery -- a 50-foot shuttle boat -- got caught up in some high surf before running into the reef on Saturday morning.

No passengers were aboard The Discovery when it ran aground. The two experienced crewmembers aboard the boat were not injured.

The Coast Guard and the Hawaii Department of Land and Natural Resources, as well as the boat's owner are working together to make sure it's removed safely.

Today -- marine salvage crews were at the Kewalo Basin site monitoring the situation.

Exact details of the salvage operation are still being determined. All fuel, oil and batteries have been removed from the boat and no pollut
