OMAHA, Neb. —

Big Red Keno fans will see the familiar name in another Nebraska city. The Omaha City Council approved an interlocal agreement with the city of Kearney on Tuesday.

After Tuesday’s special meeting, Kearney will now become the 7th community that the City of Omaha will enter an interlocal agreement on lottery services. In a unanimous vote, this interlocal agreement will allow for Kearney and Omaha to share in the proceeds made from the Big Red Keno lottery in Kearney.

Bill Harvey, general counsel for Big Red Keno, says both cities will benefit financially from the agreement.

"Kearney will get 8 and three-quarters percent of every dollar that's bet, and the city of Omaha will net about 2 percent of every dollar that's bet,” Harvey said.
