STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two police precincts on Staten Island have new commanding officers.

Capt. Gzim Palaj, the former commanding officer of the 123rd Precinct , Tottenville, has taken the reins at the 121st Precinct, Graniteville.

He has been replaced at the 123rd by Capt. Kevin Russell, formerly executive officer of NYPD’s 14th Precinct in Midtown South Manhattan. Capt. Glorisel Lee, formerly the commander of the 121st Precinct, and before that the 123rd Precinct, is now going on to the department’s Candidate Assessment Division.
