The National Weather Service released a severe thunderstorm warning at 1:28 p.m. on Wednesday in effect until 2:30 p.m. for Schoharie County.

Anticipate quarter-sized hail (1 inch) and wind gusts of up to 60 mph.

"At 1:28 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located over Jefferson, or 15 miles southwest of Cobleskill, moving east at 20 mph," describes the weather service. "Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees."

Locations impacted by the warning include Jefferson, Middleburgh, Summit, Livingstonville, North Blenheim, Breakabeen, Baird Corners, Huntersland, Broome Center, West Fulton, Five Corners, Arabia, Eminence, Housons Corners, West Jefferson, South Gilboa, South Jefferson, Watsonville, Bates and Vorman Corners.
