Jackson woman says she was shot at while leaving church

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) - A Jackson woman says she is shaken up after her vehicle was shot at as she was leaving church Sunday afternoon.

Mary Mitchell says it all started when she left church on Country Club Drive to head home.

While at the red light at the intersection of Country Club and West Northside Drive, Mitchell says one car pulled up behind her and another car got in front of her under the red light.

She says a few moments later, the car in front of her shot into her car.

She believes they were trying to get the person in the car behind her.

“My spirit told me, she’s hiding, somebody’s hiding. And she was hiding from that person. And she came around and went back up the street and the other car turned around and went back,” said Mitchell.
