TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - A new feature on Instagram shows a user’s current location anytime they’re active, and this has many users concerned about their privacy.

Anytime you open the app, Instagram Map updates to your location at that exact time, but the feature does allow you to decide who you share your location with.

Location sharing on Instagram isn’t anything necessarily new for the app. In fact, it has provided a feature that allows its users to put a locator on their post for a while now.

But Sheri Bauman , a licensed psychologist who follows the evolution of social media closely, said this latest rollout means we all need to pay much closer attention to the terms and conditions.
